Light & Blue.

Chapter ONe

Decided it’s time to travel just for a moment in time, and I chose the delightful Portugal. The fresh blue seas of Southern Europe were wondering the atmosphere and I was all here for it.

One may be curious and ask why? Why not?

With covid taking over for almost three years, it was only fair for my sanity to explore nonetheless Portugal for the next three weeks!

After a year long lease ending, a one way ticket was purchased and never looked back.

En route five thousand four hundred and twenty-two miles away, I was up for what the next 20 hours had in store for me.

From AZ touching down in New York I finally landed to my connecting flight in Madrid; I was immediately welcomed with a cut throat question about my whereabouts while visiting Lisboa? In which I quickly responded with a simple, “Holiday”. Not knowing a single soul, just practicing my patience and self-awareness.

I must mention though, Madrid’s airport’s Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas is thus far one of the most gracious architecture I’ve ever seen!

An awe—

I had came across meeting a fellow solo traveler gal from the states as well. I made small talk with her and instantly a conversation about cellular service while overseas came up and a brief belated birthday; she was finishing her solo trip in Portugal and back to Spain in which I was invited as well. We exchanged WhatsApps and formly stayed in touch.

Finally boarding for Lisbon, off I go.
